Good morning, sunshine.
Is it too late to wish you good morning? You have been awake a while, likely for hours. You have gone this time without being told “good morning.” You might not be okay. You might have had a bad day. But, something as simple as a “Good morning” text may have made all the difference in the world. It is fine if this is the case. It is fine to long for such simple and kind gestures.
Because in reality good morning texts are much more than a means of communication. They indicate that we are thought of. Adored by someone who isn’t present at the moment. Cared for. They remind us that we are appreciated. So, if nobody texted you good morning today, read on:
You deserve to have a great day. Not because of some universal law that good things happen to good people, but because we all do. We all deserve to have a good morning and a great day, regardless of who appreciates us, who thinks of us, or who loves us. Only because there isn’t anyone around doesn’t mean that you deserve anything less than pure happiness. And, if there isn’t someone to remind you of this, here is what you need to know:
There is something special in the way you laugh, making the room light up. There is something in the way you tilt the head when you are focusing on something, making you look kissable. There is that particular noise you make when you are falling asleep, a soft and pleasant sigh that feels like heaven. There is something special about you, indeed!
While we are not supposed to need reminders of this, we are humans and we forget things. We forget that we are loveable and desired. The easiest thing to forget is the following:
Who you are doesn’t vanish only when there isn’t anyone there do admire it. You are still cute, confident, and attractive, even though there isn’t anyone to assert to your confidence or tease for you. Just because there isn’t anyone to wish you a good morning doesn’t mean that you don’t deserve to have a great one!
Someday someone is going to love you for who you are. To love all of the small things about you. The way you walk, talk, cough, tilt your head, and so on. Someone is going to appreciate all of your ambiguities, but not now. This will happen eventually, but you need to acknowledge that you belong to yourself in the meantime.
If you didn’t receive a good morning text today, don’t surrender. Don’t let your qualities slide. Don’t forget about what makes you amazing.
You are much more than the person who didn’t text you good morning. You are courageous. You are encompassing. You are a blazing fire in a world of burnt people. So, don’t let wounded people to extinguish your fire. Don’t let anyone tame you or bring you down.
