If you are going to love, you better mean it. Tell it the person you love. Look them straight in the eyes. Kiss them passionately. Don’t worry about what you have at the moment and whether it will grow. Don’t ask yourself whether or not they feel the same. Don’t be scared of the way life is fragile and flawed. Just love!
If you are going to love, do it like tomorrow doesn’t exist. Like the next seconds or next hours are all you have. Like the person you love is the most wonderful thing you have ever seen in your life.
If you are going to love, love like there isn’t anyone else. Like you cannot get enough of themselves. Enough of their smile, touch, and laughter. Love like you have never had a life before them.
If you are going to love, love like you have never been hurt before. Like you have never been torn to pieces. Like you have never witnessed a relationship falling apart. Like you have never watched two people whose passion fades into the sky.
If you are going to love, love passionately. Love like it is all you are supposed to be, as in all honesty, what else is there? Give your heart to the person you care about. Give them your hand, your soul, you smile… Give them all you have. Show them who you truly are.
If you are going to love, love with enthusiasm. Behave well and make sure the person you love knows that you are there for them, when needed. Be present! Make plans! Be interested, be excited, be invested. Show them how much they mean to you!
If you are going to love, love with purpose. Love with all you have. Love will all you are, even when the world tells you to give up. Love your person no matter what. Lover through your choices, your words, your actions…
If you are going to love-damn it, love with intention! Don’t be afraid of commitment. Don’t half-love. Don’t almost commit! Don’t lose what you could be by playing a victim. Don’t waste time by giving only small portions of yourself.
Be courageous, and let’s be brave enough to partner with God and love with purpose! Love can be so transformational when we choose to love with intention and humility.
Challenge yourself to intentionally love your significant other. Interestingly, even if you are not in a relationship or married, you can bless a friend or family member with intentional love.
The bottom line is that if you’re going to love, just do it.
Just love and love and love. And never stop.
